INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR STAY
Private and shared accommodations available. All accommodations have free wi-fi and heating/air conditioning. Bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas are all shared. Reservations are encouraged, but not required. Walk-ins welcome. Payment is required at time of booking in order to complete the reservation (we accept all major credit cards and Venmo).

We welcome walk-ins and drive-ins! We are located just 0.6 miles from the parking area at Dicks Creek Gap (off mile marker 69.2 NOBO).

We provide free scheduled shuttles to and from Unicoi Gap and Dicks Creek Gap for hostel guests with reservation. For outfitter guests, we offer free pickup and drop-off at Dicks Creek Gap.

Getting here from DICKS CREEK GAP? Feel free to walk in (we are just 0.6 miles West of Dicks Creek Gap). We also provide free shuttles for hostel and outfitter guests to and from Dicks Creek Gap, on the hour upon request. Due to limited cell service at the gap, please TEXT us with the time you expect to reach Dicks Creek Gap when you are 1 mile out.

Getting here from UNICOI GAP? We pickup upon request at Unicoi at 8:30am - please TEXT us before 8:00am on day of pickup to confirm.
Checking In
Check-in time is from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm for reservations for shared rooms.

Cut-off check-in time for shared accommodations (bunks) is no later than 8:00 pm out of respect for other guests. If your expected arrival time will be after 8:00 pm, please reserve a private room and call or text us on the day of your arrival for self-check-in instructions.
Early arrivals before 3:00 pm are welcome! Guests may relax in common areas, grab a shower, or get a head start on laundry while we get their room ready.​

Private Rooms
At Around the Bend, we offer guests a variety of room configurations to suit their needs. Choose from private rooms with single beds, queen beds, king beds, or combinations of different bed configurations, all of which are fully made to ensure a comfortable stay. Our hostel is perfect for solo travelers or groups both large and small. Travelling with a pet? Two of our private huts are pet-friendly for well-behaved, housetrained pets. With our cozy atmosphere and comfortable beds, you'll feel right at home.

Shared Rooms
Our hostel is designed to offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages interaction between guests. Our shared bunkroom is ideal for travelers who are looking for an affordable and fun way to enjoy their stay. Each bunk comes with curtains for privacy, personal lights and power outlets, and comfortable bedding with fitted sheets and pillowcases (guests may bring their own sleeping bag, quilt, or blankets). We provide all the amenities you need to feel at home and rejuvenated after a long day of adventures.

The Cabin Around the Bend (Private Tiny Home)
Off-site private cabin with private bathroom, kitchen and laundry - just around the bend from Hostel Around the Bend!
Enjoy gorgeous mountain views from the deck of your own private rental! The Cabin Around the Bend is located just 0.4 miles down the road from the main Hostel Around the Bend. The cabin is about a mile away from the Appalachian Trail at Dicks Creek Gap and 0.6 miles from a winery! The cabin can sleep up to 2 guests and has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full bathroom, full kitchen, washer and dryer, wood-burning stove, covered decks, and firepit. Power hookup available for charging RVs and electric vehicles. Free wi-fi provided. The cabin is easy to access off a main road (US Hwy 76) and conveniently located about 15 minute drive from Hiawassee, GA, about a 25 minute drive from Clayton, GA, and about a 35 minute drive from Helen, GA.
